Rattling ergo
My still relatively new centaur lever has started to kick up an almighty rattle over rough surfaces at speed (i.e. Irish roads) and I'm not too happy about it. Any advice on how to fix this?
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Had the same problem, its the paddle not resting on the little rubber button which is on the inside of the brake lever. I cured mine by sticking a small rubber stopper just below the existing one.
If you send me your address i can post you a couple free of charge brought a sheet so got loads left.
Cheers Jonny.0 -

I had this a couple of years ago and I remember correctly if the cable to the brake goes completely slack the leaver moves back a small distance and rattles.
I cured it by tightening the tension up a touch.
Worth a tryRacing is rubbish you can\'t relax and enjoy it- because some bugger is always trying to get past.0 -

I've had this. Pretty common problem with old Shimano 9 spd. Try cleaning all the pivots and joints in the calipers with WD40 . This will improve the tension in the caliper and pull the cable tighter.0
