I have had my Pompino for 400 miles now and am looking for inspiration to improve it. the wheels now match .
what have people done to change them?
Also, why on earth do people photograph their fixed bikes with cards in the spokes :?

I was referring to my post on Brooks saddles - it's a fashion thing.

I'm not sure why they photograph them that way but I do know that as a young boy in
the 50's there was nothing cooler than cards in the spokes making noise like a motorcycle, or so we thought. I even remember blowing up balloons and tying them to the front fork for that "motorcycle effect". They even lasted a while. Must have been better balloons back then, although I haven't tried this recently.

these are grown men though [i assume they're grown up anyway] but you're right it was cool as a child. maybe that's where dimpled aero wheels started....http://twitter.com/mgalex
