Creaking 105 brake levers

I've got a front brake problem on my 105's.
Not only does it have a little bit of play before it even starts to move the blocks it also has a creaking noise.
I've lubricated it with no effect, the brakes do come on but its not that effective when pulling them from on top of the drops, I normally drop my right hand into the drop to put them on.
Any ideas or is it a LBS job?

Sounds like the cable's loose - loosed bot on caliper, pull cabel tight, retighten bolt.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0
