Just got my 1st road bike. Next purchase - pump
Has anybody on here used the Argos vento track pump £12.99?

Is it any good?
What pressure does it go up to.

    There are better pumps for not much more money, the Argos one looks, er, Argos!. The SKS can be bought for £17.99

    Joe Blow Max 2 - £19.99 - would reccommend - will get you a reliable 120 psi every time - quick and easy.

    If I go upto spending about £30 then how about a "SKS Rennkommpressor" I have heard these are the dogs?? I have found one for about £32?

    A rennkompressor just arrived through the post for me yesterday. Its reassuringly solid and pumping up tyres to 120psi is now a breeze (plus it does up to around 220 if you do track racing). I think the fact that I’ve heard people say that they've owned one since 1980 something speaks for itself.

    I found parker international to be cheapest. I tried to order it through my lbs but they said the supplier (chicken cycles) had ran out and wouldn’t be getting any more until the end of May.

    Incidentally, a lot of online shops list it as "kompressor" rather than "rennkompressor". If you look for kompressor it is cheaper.

    Nice1 mrjim, I have just been on parker intl, and have too ordered1.
    Can,t wait to get pumping (if you know what I mean) :lol:

    Hi
    I've goit one of the cheaper Jow Blows and its rubbish - difficult to get past 100psi. In the end I took the valve lock off it(which is the best bit) and used on my refurbed 20 year old SKS pump !
