Bike for £250?

A friend has asked for help with buying a bike, but she only has £250 to spend...

Any ideas of a decent bike at this price that is disc brake ready, in case she wants to upgrade??

IMO you'll struggle to find bike with discs at £250. V-brakes are probably a better option and go for a better frame.

Check out Pauls Cycles, they do some very good offers.

And look seriously at last years models, or if you can 2006 models. you will end up with a much betters pec machine

thanks guys, thought it was a long shot - looks like I have pursuaded her to spend a bit more so it is becoming easier to find a decent bike!
