My Chain Skips!

I noticed yesterday that on a few occassions my chain skiipped on what I presume was the cassette. It's a new chain and cassette so can eliminate components being worn.
It seemed to do it more often when I was climbing which is the worst time for it to happen as it's a bit scary!
Any ideas?

Have you got the rear derailler cable tension correct? The skipping might be the drivetrain trying to change gear but slipping back on the original gear.

Stiff links happen every time the link goes round (so once every few seconds), not just once or twice going up hills.

The cable may need to be tweaked.... try turning the Cable Adjuster (on the rear derailleur) about a 1/4 turn COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.... repeat if you notice some improvement, but not solved..

how worn was your cassette and chain before you replaced it? could it be your rings are worn too hence the new chains skipping underload uphill.

Is this counter-clockwise when you're sitting on the bike or when you're standing in front of it?
