Peejay - Congratulations...a superb refurb...it looks magnificent.
Like the colour and the white contrast head tube and seat tube bands.

Did you get the respray/whatever done, or did you get it like that already? I love the colour scheme; simple but great. Do you know where it was done and what the colour is called?Photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/krakow81/ & http://krakow.zenfolio.com/

Looks great PJ and I like the lugs and colour. You can keep that saddle tho :shock:0
-
trying to get a brooks, but spent all the money on the chainset and wheels...0

What are the wheels etc? Got a breakdown of the build? I'm still lusting over this one.Photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/krakow81/ & http://krakow.zenfolio.com/

wheels are 27" NOS dutch rigida rims, laced on the front to a reconditioned airlite hub. rear is a different hub, but i can't think which.
stronglight headset, i've changed the bars from the pic to a nitto deep drop track bar, with a nitto pearl stem.
chainring and cranks are sugino 75s, bottom bracket is a centaur after i threaded a cheap shimano.
late today i will add a tektro bolt-on caliper for the brake.0 -
Hi, I regonise this frame, it was mine. Had it powdercoated at ABC in Nailsea near Bristol, Turqoise Green. Nice too see it finished off so nicely - well done!Aidan Searle0

they did a good job!
it was sold to dale through the ACF, then on to me when he realised he had too much stuff.
Awesome. finding it hard to find a bolt fitting brake though.0 -
Peejay don't get a Langster stick with this bike! It looks a fine steed! I quite like running 27" wheels where did you get those tyres?0
-
they're bontrager hardcase and you can get them in lots of places.
i may have found a source for 27x1 panaracers....0 -

Nice to know ABC are still in business.
In the early 80s they stove enamelled 3 frames for me. I got them to go some simple masking but they were happier doing a single colour job. They were cheap and the finish was very hard wearing, one is still in use.
Peejay78 - bolt fixing brakes are not very hard to find. SJS keep bolt fixing Shimano dual pivots, and Spa certainly keep Alhonga.0 -
I like them PJ! Thanks!0

i put a black weinemann 500 on the front, and changed the saddle for a san marco regal. i also swapped the bars and stem for nitto track.
looks mighty fine now. even better i think. i would post more pics but that's just gratuitous.0 -
Please post an updated pic and then explain leaving in every step of how you get the picture to show up in the thread.0
-
i will do this once i repair my flickr..
what you have to do though, is host the pictures on the web first, flickr is perfect for this.
then you can 'grab' the picture's URL by right clicking and clicking on 'save picture location'. then you copy and paste the url into the reply box, but clicking the 'Img" button before and after the url.
and it should work.0 -

The address works fine (try cutting and pasting into your address bar) but the forum code seems to have trouble with it."Swearing, it turns out, is big and clever" - Jarvis Cocker0 -

like this:
updated pic of george stokes; i removed the white paint added by previous owner with enamel, it looked crappy up close. i put a san marco regal on there, with nitto track drops and stem.
