Routes In Devon?

I'm heading down to Devon in about a months time and I'm going to be staying in the Budleigh Salterton area.

Myself and my girlfriend are both new to MTBing having just bought ourselves a couple of bikes and are looking for some suggestions for nice easy routes in the Budleigh area or nearby?

When I'm down that way visiting the outlaws I head up to Woodbury common, not far from you. Lots of bridle ways which will be well marked on a local map. regards

Woodbury has some awesome riding, if you are willing to go a little futher afield you could check out Haldon Hill which is near Kenn south of Exeter the other side of the Exe. Its a trail centre with various bits for most riding types.
