advice please

hi
i am going on a tour of holland at the start of may over 5 days
i have just bought some panneirs from lidil for 14 pounds which look really great
i will be staying in youth hostels
What do I take
is weight an issue will i notice it
i havnet got a clue how to work out what i need
Can anyone advice please

    Make sure that as a minimum you have a set of warm dry clothes you can change into in when you arrive at your stop each day. Travel wash is very useful (though if you're only going for 5 days you could probably get away without it).

    As little as possible ....

    You need one change of clothing, a couple of pairs of socks/pants and wash kit and that is about it.

    Why not do a dress rehearsal before you go and cycle to a youth hostel, stay the night and cycle home (or better still make a whole weekend of it and do two nights in a hostel.

    Then make a list of all the stuff you bought along that you did not use, and possibly a list of the stuff you wish you had.

    I find a couple of panniers and a bar bag is enough space for an indefinite amount of time of B&B touring

    If you are camping, then that is another story and you need at least one more bag for tent/cooking stuff/sleeping stuff
