Uses for worn out components
There is currently a topic on the CTC forum discussing uses for worn out helmets. It has got me thinking... I have a garage full of old cassettes, chains and chainrings (much of it consisting of good quality aluminium). So is there a good use for them?

Sell it off as upgrade kits for Halfords Apollo bikes.
GarryCycling is too nice to waste it on getting to work.0 -

Sell them as 'unused, unmarked, removed from a demo bike' on eBay as number2bikebits ?

get a chain wear checker and double check them all. I did with mine, and about half of them still had life in them.
There's always plain old metal recycling. And if you are building a real town hack (pub bike), then as long as you can match a worn cassette and chain, you can get away with using them for a while0
