I have used Endura bibs amogst others in the past they are no longer suitable.

I would really appreciate your opinion on what short you think will offer the most comfort/cushioning/

Many thanks

  • Obviously everyones different so what i find comfy may not be for you but FWIW i use Assos F1 Mille which are very good for long rides but i also find Pealr izumi very good too. i have a pair of slice ultrasensor bibs with the elite 3d chamois insert (11mm thick) and they are very comfy too and a bit cheaper too.

Many thanks for that. I will try the Pearl Izumi ones you mentioned 8)

  • if you do then bear in mind that they come up bigger than other brands in terms of sizing.

For example i take a large in Assos, Endura & Specialized but i take a medium in Pearl Izumi. if you can try before you buy, if not you can always send them back

Out of interest, why are they "no longer suitable"?

I have many Endura products but the seat insert in the range looses itsa comfort after a few washes imo.

I like the quality of the Endura kit I have loads of it! I just find the padding in the shorts, bi knickers, and tights not so good.

I will bite the bullet and try some Assos ones. Any other suggestions? :)

I'm using cheap dhb shorts from Wiggle, so I'm probably the last person to ask. For what it's worth, they seem ok to me even after months of use!

For sure I think its horses for courses with this kind of thing. If the DHB are ok for you then great. I just think I neede as much padding as possible between me and my saddle!
