Hi all,
I'm just looking for some advice/ information on the different finishes on Santacruz frames. I'm looking at getting a new Heckler but I don't know the advantages/ differences between going for the powdercoat or the anodized finish.
Can someone spread some light on this and explain the difference and recommend wheter its worth spending the extra money for the anodized finish.
Cheers.

Anodized finish is more hard wearing and will last a lot longer than powder coat.... far superior imo but costly0

okay, cheers.
might be worth the extra money. the paint finish on my cove stiffee is seriously suffering from going on and coming off the bike rack a couple times a week!0 -
it's worth it imo to pay the extra... it sucks when you get a nice shiny new rig and 3 months down the line it looks 10 years old, I know that chips, etc happen but if you can avoid it by a few quid - worth every penny!
And from what I have heard, esp with a Santa Cruz!0 -
Yea I know what you mean. My On-One, only two months old is already beginning to lose some of its shine. Think I'll defo go for the anodized finish. BTW - sweet mythic, very nice. what does it weigh do you know?0

It comes in at a svelte 37lb.... doesn't actually feel that heavy when riding tbh....
Surprisingly it's not too bad uphill either (nothing toooo steep mind)0
