Renkompressor users...
i've noticed the head on this pump is metal rather than moulded plastic... but does it have one of thoes thumb lock thingys so lock the head onto the valve or do you just need to force it on?
Generally, is there any reason why i shouldnt buy this track pump? i'm after something a bit sturdier than a resin or metal/plastic pump and its either this or a silca (but i dont like the head on the silca that has the force on brass head)
Thanks

The head that comes with it simply fits over the Schraeder valve and locks with a thumb lever. For Presta there is an adapter which fits on with light pressure, and the head then fits in the same way as for a Schraeder
Personally I simply changed to a Topeak Twinhead for ease of use.<b><i>He that buys land buys many stones.

I have used many pumps, but find the Rennkompressor by far the best.
In Presta mode - you pull the thumb lever down to lock it on to the valve.
In Schrader mode, you plug the adapter in - and push it down - it stays in place without the lever. The A6 Hazel Grove - "Always the worst part of any ride".0 -
I have one and think it's the best pump I've ever had, but changed the head, as I didn't like the push fit adaptor, so fitted a topeak twinhead locking head.0
