Hoi Guys

Currently in the process of buying new parts to build a bike for hardcore xc / all mountain

So far i have on-one 456 frame, Marzocchi All Mountain SL and wheels. I have around £500 leftover for rest of parts.

Help and advice apreciated :)

    toguh choices ahead, sram/ shimano.

have to say been impressed with the SRAM rea mechs, and much prefer the way sram use thumb only shifting, makes sence as it leaves your brake free which ever way you are changing.

BUt i'd log on wiggle or chain reaction and start browsing to get some ideas so you can meet your budget

08 XT Groupset from here for £325
    http://www.on-one-shop.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Mountainbike_210.html

Which leaves you £175 for a finishing kit

Can`t really go too far wrong with XT ,generally, though try and get the XT shadow rear mech, for your intended use.
Finish off with a tough post like a Thomson,(£45 on Merlin) .A Bel Air saddle for £15,(Merlin again),some tough wide riser bars, and a shortish stem.
