Gosh, Pip Gilbert is pretty exciting these days, isn't he?
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

    Fingers crossed!

Gilbert, Pozzato and Breschel could stay away if they work together and really go for it - I'd have thought!

    Come on Pip!

Don't Pip and Pippo hate each other?

Dunno - I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Leakygas aren't exactly squeaky clean - doubt that Pippo would agree with Gilbert's "drug free sport" campaign!

But that shouldn't stop them working together until the red kite surely.

  • Think there is some animosity between Pozatto and Gilbert. Paris-Tours last year springs to mind when their break just fell to peices because Pozzatao refused to work with Gilbert.

The was a bit in Pro Cycling this month about cycling feuds - this was one of them, although Pozzato seemed to have a lot of feuds.

Blimey, Cavendish is still in the peloton.
  • Maybe it's not a break at all, just a lance bullying simioni type of thing...

Gilbert was the one who followed Pozzato.

They do seem to regularly get in breaks together though. As mentioned above Paris Tours last year and also Milan San Remo this year and of course today.

I don't think it was Eurosport's fault - probably the locals.......

One rider was extremely irritated after the race. Mark Cavendish couldn't deliver the win for High Road, since he didn't even sprint. "Too dangerous, too dangerous," the British rider shouted. "There was no wind and people sprinted who can't even sprint. Okay, it's their right, as it's a one-day race." Cavendish continued fuming. "I nearly crashed five times in the last two kilometres. Five times!" Did he have the legs to win? "Yes, but I didn't even sprint."
God. he is turning into a bit of a whinger isn't he. "You there, do you have my permission to sprint? If not go to the back with the other pack fodder"

hmm indeed. He can expect the same in the Giro.
