Can anybody recommend a website with good reasonably priced casual cycling clothes. As I need some new commuting clothes for the warmer months, I like the Rapha fixed tops and shorts but £100 plus for casual shorts is over my budget.

Any help appreciated.

Foska do some really good baggies with a removable liner - Very robust with lots of pockets. I wear mine without the crazy padded liner.
For tops, the Gore range are good, but if it's just for casual then I actually find the Altura jackets to be very good, with plenty of storage - if a little warm.

Sorry, can't recommend any casual tops though.
The Campag. wool tops are quite nice, but they still look like you stepped out of a dodgy nightclub! Prendas do some retro tops, but TBH they're quite expensive, and don't seem very durable to me.

Try http://www.wiggle.co.uk/default.aspx?cat=cycle their own range, dhb, is excellent value for money. Its what I mostly wear on my commute.

Not sure what sort of thing you are after, but you could try www.swrve.co.uk, and freshtripe for some clothes made with some sensible cyclist features, but without being lycra
'07 Langster (dropped one tooth from standard gearing)
'07 Tricross Sport with rack and guards
STUNNING custom 953 Bob Jackson *sigh*

There's got to be a bit of a gap in the market here - cycling clothers that look good (like Rapha) but at a reasonable price. All the 'baggies' for sale (regardless of brand) are largely MTB style things, which I personally think looks fine and utilitarian but seriously lacks any style.

That links doesn't work. http://www.swrvecycling.com has all the stuff but the online store is here: http://www.swrvestore.com/servlet/StoreFront

    http://www.freshtripe.co.uk/Freshtripe/Home.html to save googling!

Thanks for the information though - that helps a bit with my comment above!

I've owned a pair of the cotton shorts for the past 4 months and wear them for commuting. They're pretty comfortable (although they aren't padded) and seem to be wearing pretty well so far. The sizing is accurate so if you're between sizes (I've a 33 inch waist) then it's best to go up a size.

You can buy them direct from Chris at www.swrve.co.uk - he's currently selling off the lighter weight schoeller shorts at half price.

Andy, thanks for the link. Unfortunately the half price are 32" and I am 33", are they stretchy ?

I've just bought a pair of these for the summer and I went for the 32". These ones are much stretchier than the cotton ones. They fit me okay but are a bit tight around the hips. For riding back and forth to work they'll do me fine.
