Chainring guide?
Hi,
I've recently purchased a Scott Sub 10 and removed the two inner chain rings leaving me with a single 48T chain ring. After doing this I now realise that I need some sort of chain guide to stop the chain dropping off, which keeps happening.
Can anyone recommend a chainring guide or a similar that I could try? For the moment I've put the derailieur/lever back on, but this ruins my goal of having a lightweight and 'smooth/minimalist' bike.
I notice that DMR do one, but this looks like a mechano set and just wont do my nice new shiny bike justice :roll:
Any advice appreciated.

Hi there.
You could get yourself a chainring with longer teeth like a track chainset. MDT do ones specifically for road bikes with thinner chains.

Thanks for this, but the MDT ones look quite expensive.
I've found that FSA do 'DH' ones that look quite good and will fit, do DH specific rings have larger teeth or are they just thicker and more robust?

Alternatively, you could get a chainguard plate as used on cyclo-cross bikes with single rings, like these;

No doubt there are others out there appropriate to various chainsets and budgets.
