Riding position for a back sufferer

Had a quick search and could not find an article on correct posture ect when riding a MTB
From what I have been told the distance from my backside to the peddals should be such that at full extension my knee is still slightly bent.
My problem is I suffer a bad back, lower two disks knackered
This means that I can't tollerate the amount I need to bend to reack the handle bars assuming the seat is in the optimal position. I have bought a tem riser to make the bars higher and therefore I need to bend less but to be honest they are still not high enough.
Can you get longer stem risers or do you have any other suggestions
Thanks for reading this

Could try more spacers under the stem. Will only put it up about an inch at the most though. Suppose riser bars might help too.0

If you dont already have riser bars then try some ,if you do already have them maybe try some with a steeper rise.0
