2.25" Nobby Nic on 17mm rims?

Would the 2.25" be ok on a 17mm rim (inside size)? I'd quite like to try these on my full sus this weekend but it's got little 17mm rims. My hardtail is using 19mm rims so I'd assume that would be ok (which is what they were bought for).

Nobbys/RRs come in about 2.1" real size for 2.25" apparently? It's the evolution, tubed version I'd be running.

Yes, because the schwalbe tyres come up small. It'll be fine as long as it fit through the frame

Yay cheers, thought they'd be ok but didn't want to risk wrecking the sidewalls after a couple of corners.

Oh wow, you weren't kidding, they're actually narrower than the old 2" Specialized Resolutions I had on there. :shock:
