Anyone heard of Esperia bikes?

A mate has just bought one through Halfords and cycle to work. I've never heard of them and Google isn't revealing anything either. Could be a misspelling.

Are they any good or has someone just managed to unload the last crap bike from the sales rack?

Cheers

I was in Halfords on Friday getting some plates made up and went for a nosey while wating. I noticed the Esperia bike, but can't really tell you anything about it as I didn't pay too much attention.

Interestingly they aren't on their website.

    just found this..... http://www.cicliesperia.it/Index.asp

Thanks for that, doesn't look as bad as I'd feared. Will have to get a look at it and see which model, '07 I suspect but for £270 he might have got a half decent bike.

Having been out for a couple of rides with my mate and having a shot of this bike I can advise, DON'T BUY THESE BIKES!

Can't believe how reluctant it is to accelerate. Heavy wheels but it doesn't feel like that is causing all the problems :?

It's a real shame as his old mountain bike is looking like getting brought back into action, it really is that bad
