Must have flipped a stone up onto the underside mark is quite small but noticeable should I be worried or can a carbon frame take a bit of punishement ?

try not to worry - they are tougher than is often made out.

i had to cut the carbon steerer on my forks - the spare bit cut off the top was subject to some testing - it's tough stuff i tell you!

plus - if it is a stone chip - chances are it is just through the lacquer or perhaps into the decorative top weave of your frame - yes that lovely criss-cross pattern you can see is just there for decoration! the structural stuff is underneather

You could put a dab of clear nail varnish on to seal if it does worry you though.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

My MTB has a carbon mainframe, and I've had large lumps of rock rather than just stones hit the downtube of that (big enough that they've bruised my toes when bouncing off onto them). It all looks rather battered, but fine structurally - I can't believe anything you'd encounter on a road would damage a bike frame.

As gkerr4 says, carbon frames are a lot tougher than is often made out. The sort of impact which would damage one would almost certainly put a big enough dent in any lightweight metal frame to make you consider retiring it.
