A revelation

HI,
got back into commuting this week after 5 months off, weather, work and illness.
In November I picked up a Merida T1 cheap to replace my aging Scott as my 'summer' commuter. Well i rode it this week. What a revelation so much quicker/lighter/more responsive. I have a feeling that the Scott won't see much daylight now....
I was really surprised at the difference in performance.

Next step to put drops on it?
For commuting it's interesting how often people seem to go through a zillion permutations until they end up happy on a stripped down road bike ...0 -
I was really struggling last year with what to get. I am not the lightest person :-p and was worried about getting 700c and them not being suitable and wasting a load of money. Was thinking of a Sirrus... but then saw this one. Found out later that Merida and Spesh frames are the 'same'. But I'll see how how it goes.. drops? maybe in the future...Cheers
