Stem Length?

I am a tall rider and feel I am sitting 'over' the bike. My Trek came with a 110mm stem.

WIth a view to improving my position on the bike, will there be an advantage moving over to a shorter stem and if so to what length?

around 90mm is the 'norm' i think but nicklouse will come and correct me if i'm wrong

good article on stem length in this months MBR, I have always used around 90mm any longer and your in to the problem you describe, shorter and too many knee to bar problems when climbing.
