Finished 30th - maybe the race was just too long for him - he's won 2 shorter races in the last week and raced pretty hard, so it looks like he ran out of gas to me.freddymerckx wrote:what happened to chavanel????

Still, not a bad showing for first time round the course. Local knowledge is a big advantage in a race like this. Devloder was quoted as saying he knew he could go full gas from where he attacked as it was a tailwind all the way to the finish.0
