Wet Wheels?

When I have taken off my tyres, the inner tube and rim always seem to be wet, I don't take them off very often, but every time I do it happens. Is it anything to worry about, or is this the same for most. The Wheels are Mavic ES.

Thanks

    Hi there.

Have you got cloth rim tape, or the plastic strip that mavic usually use? If you've got cloth tape then it can start to rot (which is a puncture risk).

    Cheers, Andy

I have the plastic rim tabe as provided with the wheels, so no worries there, I was really wondering if there is anything I can do to stop it?

    Any ideas?

Not really. It gets in at the spoke holes and valve hole. Some rims have drain holes in the sides (Bonty Racelite, Shimano).
