Just ridden my new Comp road shoe but am a little concerned that I don't seem to be able to move the cleat (SPD-SL) under the ball of my foot.
Has anybody else experienced this with Shimano/Spesh combo ?
Would another pedal/cleat system work better, I don't really want to change shoes as they are comfy where as SIDI's tend to make my feet ache.

I use Shimano road shoes with SPD-SL cleats. The holes in the shoes are elongated so you should be able to adjust the position to where you want it.

I must say, I have always found they work fine together.

I didn't think my feet were that oddly shaped. Thought I'd put them together correctly but I'd better check again.

    thanks.
  • The pedal spindle should be either slightly in front or slightly behind the ball of your foot rather than dorectly aligned.

This prevent the bones in the foot splaying potentialy causing discomfort as well as not being quite so efficient.
