And that they've told ASO that their classics will be in the UCI calender. Have the UCI managed to wield a big stick successfully?

    Probably a quid pro quo deal with the UCI following Verbruggen's recent capitulation over ASO races and the ProTour.

    Despite all the tantrums, the megaphone diplomacy and the "Its my ball and I'm going home", I'd be very surprised if the UCI and ASO haven't spent the past two months meeting.

    It's probably an engineered compromise between the two antagonists, with FFC as acting as the front.

    Ahhh. It appearsthe FFC are skint.

    Interesting that the Italians applied some pressure - I guess they were at the meeting when the FFC originally agreed to the calender.
