£400 - giant or mongoose?

hi i'm starting out dirt jumping/freeriding and ive got £400 to burn...

i'm thinking either;

for some reason the mongoose link doesn't work, to see it you have to paste the whole thing in to your address bar (the blue bit and the black bit at the end)

which do YOU think?
or are you thinking i should get a different bike?

Hi, if i were you id buy a giant, if you look at the specs the giant has better brands/more well known other than which mongoose have brands that iv never heard of. But if you cant afford some of the giant bikes try looking at the 2007/06 versions instead, there just as good but there not the 08 versions which are just the looks which are diiferent. also try getting expert advice on this though by a big bike company

The specs don't look disimilar, aprt form the obvious sus fork. Try them out if you can.

hi i was in this situation a couple of weeks ago. They are both single speed but worth a look. DMR Drone 2008 for £300 at Blazing Sadles and a Identiti P45 2007 £375 at Billy's Bikes. Both buy it now on ebay shops. Both 24" wheel. I went for the P45 very pleased. Hope this is some help.
