Brake/Gear Cable Cutters
Hi
Can anybody recommend a decent set of cable cutters. Im fed up with cutting brake/gear cables only to see them split at the ends. I ened up cutting again and again to stop the splitting. I then put them through the outers and they strip again
I seem to be going through a lot of cables does everybody have this problem.
Any help tips etc would be appreaciated
cheers

Well, I recenty g got a cracking set of cable cutters at my local "pound type shop " for £2.If I had a baby elephant, I\'d be asking my girlfriend some SERIOUS questions.....0

I bought a pair of Cyclepro cable cutters at York Rally last year; they replaced a pair of aged piano wire cutters I inherited from my father (makes them well pre-war).
I usually put some heat-shrink tubing over the cable before it's cut and leave it on afterwards to limit fraying.
