Hello there.
Anyone out here had dealings with Winstanley bikes in wigan.
Ordered a Kona Kikapu 9 speed and ad says usually despatched 24hrs.
Called today about mine and they told me it would be sent out next Monday. Now days can drag on sometimes I know but that's stretching 24hrs innit, even if they're busy.

I know several people who have had bad expereinces - late/incorrect orders, poor advice etc.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

i bought my bike from the local bike shop, he fitted the mud guards, stand and set the whole thing up for free, even my sons tag-a-long,, and he even delivered it for free as i was at work , best service ever...
  • I think the general concensus is they are pretty sh@te I would go elsewhere if I were in your shoes. (they may be a bit small though)

I almost ordered some forks from them a few weeks back, They we're the cheapest I could find on the net. I was just lucky, I lost their web address so I googled them. Came up with pages and pages of people saying how crap they were.

Ordered with UKBIKESTORE in the end. Turned up a day EARILER than they said they would and only cost me £40 more than Winstanley quoted (OK £40, is £40 but we're talking about a £900 set of forks).

My advice would be to keep at them, I also hear they have a habit of taking your money before they dispatch the goods. Which they absolutely mustn't do by law.
