hi, was riding my bike today and the crank thread on my left crank completely died and my pedal hung limply off it . . . very upsetting...
i was just wondering if i can buy a new crankset (probably a 32-22 tooth one) without buying a new BB? or am i completely wrong?

take it to your LBS and get them to insert a thread saver.....New crank not always needed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

what is your existing crankset?0

Not necessarily - most cranksets fit most bottom brackets. You might want to get a new one just because you've got a new crankset though...0
