another "isn't cycling.tv a load of sh*te" thread
This time there's no sound. Is it just me? No can't be, iTunes and Media Player are pumping it out, so it has to be cycling.tv.
Picture's not bad though.

Sound is fine for me :?:0

The little volume control thing on the page has disappeared, so it's still their fault. And the fact that everything about the page tells me that it should be on but isn't.
grrrr0 -
Oh yeah I don't have that either, but I never use that anyway. I just maximise the screen and use the Media Player volume.0

Rebooted PC, still no sound.

Just out of curiosity do you guys actually pay for this service or what ?
cheers

I do, but then I've never seemed to have half the trouble everyone else does. Yeah the site itself is a crime against web design, and I had a few troubles logging in when I wanted to watch Het Volk, but other than that it works fine. Must be lucky I guess.0 -
In general, when it goes wrong then I have a terrible stressful time (see above). But in general it's worth £30 a year or whatever if, like me, you haven't got a life but like watching pro cycling.0

What was showing today?0

I see Girvan is up at last0

It worked well for me at the weekend, I find it seems to work better for me if I use Firefox, the only problem is that it plays using the windows media player and I can't view it at full screen, and the volume works better, I can actually slide it up or down
Cycling.tv has taken a lot of stick of late, but we would be missing out on quite a bit of racing without it, granted Tour of California didn't work well at all but I blame the yanks at their end for that.0 -
I've also had lots of problems with Cycling.tv but yesterday and today was fine for the De Panne. Admittedly I only attempt to view at 400 Kbs but it is OK and much better than nothing (and watching Cav sprint 5 lengths clear of all the opposition was the icing on the cake !!).0

I still cant decide whether to take the plunge and pay for it.
My PC is painfully slow and with the alleged unreliability of the website I sense a recipe for disaster0 -
My subscription was up on 2nd April. They've paypal-ed the money but guess what; I'm currently unsbscribed so if its not sorted soon, no Flanders.
Email to the 'permanently manned during races' address has gone unanswered. What a shower.___________________

I had the same problem when renewal was taken via PayPal without prior notice and then I found I was 'unsubscribed' into the bargain. Although I never got a reply, I was eventually magically 'subscribed' again after sending e-mails to -
'player@narrowstep.com' and 'team@cycling.tv'.
I subsequently also got notified by PayPal that the 'Automatic Renewal' in favour of Cycling.tv (or 'narrowstep') had been cancelled, so I now wonder what will happen come the next anniversary of my subscription.
Despite all the problems in viewing that most of us have encountered, it was actually OK for all of the 3 Days of De Panne but the real test will be on Sunday for the 'Ronde'.0
