Being a newbie to cycling should you wear anything under cycling shorts?

    If they're padded then you shouldn't wear anything under them.

    Could I get away with wearing underwear for short rides (less 10 miles)?

    Only if you want to have a really sore backside. I'd go for the padded undies that you can get instead of wearing cycling shorts if on a short (10-mile) leisure ride.

    What do I ride? Now that's an Enigma!

    I presume so. Wearing baggies without anything underneath is a different matter.

    personally i wear my normal boxers under my padded cycling shorts, never had any bother. just doesn't feel right without undies!
