The Magura Louise 2000/2001 on my recumbent has failed, and I need a new brake setup. Any recommendations?

The caliper is mounted on the left fork, behind the fork. The disc is 160mm, and the two mounting bolts for the caliper seem to be spaced 50mm apart. The wheel is a 406 (20") and has what seems to be the standard 6-hole mounting pattern.

Mikey please remeasure the bolt holes 49mm or 51mm?

the mounting bolts are they M5 or M6?

the disc brake standards changed 1999/2000/2001 you may have FS or either of the IS standards. Also the distance from the outside of the lock nut to the disc mounting face on the hub?

If it is one of the old fittings then it will be better to get it sorted.

Cheers for the help. I think they are M6 bolts, and the bolt holes should be 51mm, though it's hard to be sure I'm accurate enough. The other measurements fit roughly with the IS .pdf given in one of the sticky links in this forum.

If you're having issues measuring, go shortest distance (fromthe edges of the holes) between and longest then average.

Got a Hope mono mini IS no. 5 on the recommendations of Mr. Larrington, Lord Mayor of Mortagne. Seems like a better than original replacement!
