This maybe be a no brainer question, but what sort of clothing do you wear?? ie tracky bottoms/jeans

whats the best leg wear for rides lets say around 10-15 miles.

shorts, shorts ans shorts!!!!! cant beat them, really cant. no restricted movement. depends what type of riding though, if your just messing about round town, then loose jeans or even trackies, but be prepared to look like you robbed the bike lol. for tops, depending on the wether, either a t-shirt or lightwieght breathable thing
    hope that helps!

Well i will be mainly doing canal paths and tp trails, around 10-20 mile at a steady pace.. ohh and i hate tracky's....
shorts as in cycling shorts or like knee length shorts,as i could easily take a pair of waterproof leggings along.

3/4 length shorts in winter with a padded cycling short underneath.

In summer just shorter ones - with padded cycling shorts underneath.

    Easy.

Board shorts when warm, Nike tracky bottoms when under 8 degrees, Regatta waterproofs if freezing and hammering it down.

Lightweight 3/4 all year round with a padded liner underneath. On top a breathable T-shirt, microfleece and jacket layered according to the weather.

  • ive got the madison pursuit cargo shorts which have the liner insdie but is detachable and they are a bargain at £30! and a gill base layer and endura jersey with a fleec gillet from my sailing coat, keeps me super toasty, will look at a long sleeve base layer for the winter though! and some knee warmers!

i used to ride in normal tracky bottoms in winter and a windprrof jumper and shorts in the summer but you cant beat the proper gear!

I've been using a pair of these shorts for just over a year and have found them to be very comfortable all year round, fast drying for those wet days and they don't cling to my legs when pedalling. All of Edinburgh's own brand clothing is made by Endura and re branded as Revolution so its made by a quality company and the shorts come with a removable liner which is very comfy too.

Endura's own Single track shorts are also very good too.

  • I wear the same things for every ride (washed in between rides), a pair of shiny black tracksuit bottoms, under those I have an old pair of jogging bottoms which I have cut the legs off to make in to shorts, just for added padding on the backside, up top I wear a thick black fleece, makes me sweat like a pig, but good for losing weight through sweat loss.
