Zafira hire car - will my bike box fit in the boot?

Hi
Am off to Tuscany on hols soon and am planning to hire a Zafira for the family but want to take my bike in its bike box - I know these cars are quite big but does anyone have experience of fitting a bikebox sideways in the boot please?
I have two children so can't fold the seats down otherwise would fit it in lengthways
