Question about Topeak Master Blaster Road Pump ?
Hi, i am thinking about trying a Topeak Master Blaster Road Pump but am not sure which length to go for. My alloy frame has a sloping top tube so the gap between the bottom bracket and top tube is 15 inches / 38cm.
The sizes are quoted in frame sizes which are meaningless with a compact frame so any advice from Road Pump owners would be appreciated.
Also will it fit securely on the larger diameter tubes of an alloy frame ?
Thanks in advance.

I have a Topeak Master Blaster Road in Large (i.e. labelled 54-59cm).
Sitting there uncompressed, the distance between the troughs at the pump ends (the bits that will contact the frame) is 21", or 535mm. When compressed to the limit of what I would say was a reasonable clamping force (beyond which would involve too much force to install / remove a pump) that distance reduces to 19.5" or 495mm.
To be honest, I never use it nowadays, and prefer the Mini DX instead. Hope this helps.0 -
Hey thanks Captain F, going by your measurements it looks like i would need a 43-49 small.
Thanks. He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0
