Both similarly priced, any thoughts on what wouldbe best? I'm probably leaning towards the Tora, but would be interested to hear other views. Going to be used for red/black trail centre routes as I live right in the heart of the 7Stanes area.

we had a discussion last night, the toras, although being heavy are lighter.
But if you can stretch then the 318 are a lot better as they have the same rebound damping as the best RS forks.0 -
MZ Race deosnt have any damping at all unfortunately, only the SuperComp does. Tora all the way!0

Kind of what I thought I'd hear to be honest. Can't stretch to 318s unfortunately.
These are the Marzocchis I'm talking about, are they really that much worse? http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productId=1157&categoryId=170 -
Yep, they are absolutely sh1t. Just a coil spring and a piece of rubber, no hydraulics.0

just bought toras recently (302 RL(poplock(poplock seems pretty pointless) ) ).
They're really good.
Tora.Me like trials biking me do0 -
Got Tora 302 RLs on our Rockhopper - seem to work well and can take some serious knocks without complaining.
The sort of knocks that make me wince when riding my Fox 90RL (air) fork equipped Stumpjumper!0
