Snowdon today!

My plan of going down Coed Y brenin today went down the pan when I saw the crystal clear snow covered peak of snowdon.

Parked next to the lake and headed up the Llanberis route, next to the train track, my got it was emotional. the 1st half of the route was fine, couple of places i couldnt ride over. I got to the half way caff and had a chill out! couple of flapjacks and a brew.


This was the view of the summit from the caff,


Off i went again and just round the corner futher up from the caff the snow started, and from then on in it was push or carry

Anyway I got to the top and stopped just short of the summit, there was no way i was taking my bike up there in the snow. Heres a view of the summit where i stopped

I didnt stay up there long, the cloud was coming in and it was mighty cold, had some munch and a brew and headed on my death ride back down.

Anyway I made it home in one piece, and buzzin from it. Thought id post this before I hit the marin trail for a bit of night action in a bit!!

Tip Top... when you went on about the snow it sort of reminded me of Lord Of The Rings and the companies' attempt on Caradhras.

The views were worth the climb eh?

In my view the scott scale is bloody fantastic. I love riding it, haven't been out on my other bikes for about 6 rides now!

Fantastic pictures, I've only ever walked Snowdon.

Hopefully, one day soon, I'll be fit enoug to ride it 8)
