Hi guys!
Got a phone call today telling me that my new Specialized Rockhopper Pro is ready for the pickup - picking it up tomorrow.
I intend to buy a complete portable repair kit that will include:
Pump,
Puncture repair kit,
Tyre repair kit,
Spare chain links and
the saddle bag -
to put it all in
What pump, repair kit and tyre boot does everybody use. I am not going to be remot, but away from like my father so i cant phone him and ask him to come recuse me!
CHEERS!

For repair kit - you MUST use Park ready glued patches - literally a flar tyre revelation.
Pump - got a very trick carbon Middleburn Carbon Stik one by subscribing to WMB.
Always take a spare tube in case of a major blowout too.
Any old tyre levers will do.0 -
For a pump, topeak mountain morph!
Like a collapsible track pump, so fast to inflate. I'd go for a largish camelbak in lieu of a saddlebag. Because they are easy to scale for different length trips.
I carry for long rides:
FAK (people argue for hours over this so buy one adequate for your FA skill)
zip ties
duct tape
Above pump
Lights
Lighter
Waterproofs
Spare tube
water
sports drink
park patches
two multitools
fiver
pies
lube
glasses if wet
if with friends then large adjustable.0 -
Iv been looking at the Mountain Morph pump and it does look practical; if not a little big. Its good to hear that ready-glued patches work, i will get the Park ones in case its a one off! Cheers guys for the ideas of what to pack. I appreciate it. 8)0
