SRAM Shifters, Shimano Derraileur Upgrade question

Quick question if may... I have a GT avalanche 2.0 (2007) with the following

Front Derailleur - Shimano M -330
Rear Derailleur - Shimano New Deore M-530
Rear CogsShimano Eight Speed, 11-32 ratio
Chain Shimano IG-31
Shifters Shimano ST-EF50 8 speed EZ fire shifters

I have a spare set of SRAM X7 shifters off taken off another bike, will these shifters work with the current gear setup above? If not what will I need to replace?

    fraid not, the left hand shifter will work on the front mech but to use the rear shifter you will need to replace the cassette and chain to 9 speed versions and then the rear deraileur to any sram 9 speed model as sram and shimano rear mechs do not mix
