What's the average wheel circumference for a 26" MTB wheel running a 2 / 2.1 tyre?

I know they vary depending on the tyre - hence 'average'

wheel or tyre? and why do you need it? it is not hard to measure.

but as the tyre you mention give a diameter of 26" so a bit of math..... will give a very close actual circumference.

  • Easiest way to do it is to place a marker on the floor, roll the bike forward one complete revolution, and place a second marker on the floor. Measure between the two markers!

Hey, I have a Cateye speedo, and 1.95 tire . I measured the circumference and it was 205cm. So the table of John Stevenson is pretty much correct.
