Wheel shudder when braking!

Hello can anyone help me with a problem i have with my scott mc50 mtb.
The front brake is a shimano deore (m535) disc brake but when I apply the brake the whole front end shudders.
My friend pointed out that there appears to be wear marks not only on the rim of the disc rotor but also along the disc rotor arm ( about 5 mm).
The disc is a 160 mm and the shuddering would make sense if the pads are griping the arms slightly.
But how do I cure it inexpensively?

Space the caliper out a bit... Also check all the bolts are done up properly and the headset isn't loose0

sounds more like something is lose. have the bike looked over. it could also be poor condition pads."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

make sure that your qr skewer is nice and tight! loose onmes can cause a front end shudder like that!Timmo.
