Is that TA cyclotourist? I should have one if it is but I have a load of extractors as well and I'd have to check on a chainset. I've a feeling it's the same as Campag.

isn't it bigger than Shimano/campag? I seem to recall 23mm?

I think I've got one if you're stuck.

OK, I've checked and one is wending it's way to you via the treasurer at tomorrow night's committee meeting. I used to use TA Cyclotourist chain sets a lot at one time.

What is needed to remove/install a TA Axix BB?

A puller to remove the cranks

I'm planning on installing Campag cranks on a TA BB (I know, ISO and JIS taper respectively)

I haven't yet bought the TA BB, and need to know if a special tool is required to install it

I think you need the TA tool, but it looks a bit like the Campagnolo tool. Can't say anything more than that because I don't know!

I have a feeling Campag cranks will fit on a TA BB but why do that? You can't beat Campag BB's. Anyway, a TA thread is definitely different to Campag you will certainly need a TA extractor for TA cranks. I know, I've been there and done it!

I'm running compact Centaur on a Centaur triple BB (115mm , 330g) on a cross bike with wide chain stays which means there is only 3mm between the pedal end of the crank and chainstay

I want a longer axle-and the TA Axix is very light, has a choice of longer axle, and the fact that it's a JIS taper means the crank will sit around 4mm further out anyway

The longest Campag axle is 115mm

If there is another solution, I'll be interested
