nothing. just undo the quick releases.
Or what do you mean? new wheels?......."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Well, not too sure, I'm buying new wheels, already built, but I was told that i'd need specific tools to get the cassette and stuff off. I was kind of hoping it would be easier like you suggest! I've seen stuff like cassette removal tools and chain whips etc, do I need these tools? Or are they for more complicated stuff?http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

yes you do. cassette tool. chain whip, allen/torx tool for the disc rotors.
have a look at the info on parktools as there are picture how toos for most things with the correct tools."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Do you need to swap the disc rotors and cassette onto new wheels?
Discs will either be a cassette lockring, six small hex bolts or T25 Torx bolts, so either a hex wrench, Torx bit or wrench, or cassette lockring remover, which will also remove the cassette lockring, strangely enough.
They do come in different types - tell us what you're swapping from and to.
You may need a small screwdriver to adjust the limit screws on your rear mech to get it just right with the new wheel too.
Tyre levers for changing the tyres of course.
Or have I got what you are trying to do completely wrong?0 -
Excellent, thanks for your help!http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

No, I think you getting my drift - my fault for my poor explanation. I'm swapping to halo freedoms from the originals on my Kona Blast 2006 - not sure of the exact spec though. It's got hayes disc brakes and I think the front hub is different from the rear. :?http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

Nice Avatar Rob. "Cymru Am Byth "bychan.
The front hub will be some kind of generic (Formula or Quando) offering. The rear is likely to be a Shimano M475.
The hub body will probably be a different width on the Halos so you may need to adjust brakes & gears after fitting the new wheels. It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.0
