Right, after winning the XT groupset last week it's taken me until now to convince my missus that:
Kinesis Maxlight XC Pro II in white,

I love the way the carbon seat stays contrast with the frame. Cheers Sheepsteeth for suggesting it (red was £60 cheaper in my size but wasn't what I wanted, or possibly anybody else judging from the reduction).
Going to go with Reba Race Dual Air forks (in black to contrast with the frame).
Other bits on the list are:
Had to invoke the sig ▼▼▼ a bit, oh well it'll heal.

1. I need another bike.
2. An XC hardtail and a full suss AM / Trail bike aren't the same.
3. My 10 year old Giant Terrago hardtail isn't worth upgrading (or getting rid of )
4. Interest free / buy now pay later is the way to go.

-
Fizik Gobi saddle (in black) which I've ordered.
Easton EC70 Monkey Light XC carbon bars.
Easton EA70 stem (70mm?)
Easton EA70 seatpost.
No idea what tyres I'm going for but going to take the plunge and go tubless.
Ditto headset, grips etc.

i adore that frame! gonna be a great build by the sounds of it0
-
You should be able to build that up v. light
25lbs or less? 8)
Love those frames there's one hanging on the wall in my LBS-post some pics when you're doneI hate it when people say David Beckham's stupid...its not like anyone ever says: 'Stephen Hawking - he's s**t at football.' Paul Calf0 -
^^ Haven't worked it out yet, I'll have to take the kitchen scales into the garage and weigh each part as I assemble it.
Should have it done in a couple of weeks, just try and stop me posting the pics 8)It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

what wheelset are you going to put on there?
Nice frame by the way0 -
i'll put money on the fact it is gonna look ace, the black rear end then white main triangle followed by the black forks, will look spot on. am interested to hear how it will ride, i think if i was to go for another hardtail, carbon rear stays would be the way to go.
as for tyres, tubeless is very good, but make sure you use tubeless tyres (as im sure you will with those lovely new xt wheels), maxxis do ignitors in a 2.1and they weigh in at about 650 grams, very respectable in my opinion.
am looking forward to the pics0 -
i drool every time i see those frames on CRC, definatly looks best in white IMO.Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)
Merlin single malt fixie (Commuter/winter/training)
Trek superfly 7 (Summer XC)
Giant Yukon singlespeed conversion (winter MTB/Ice/snow)

I was lucky enough to get wheels included in the XT groupset prize
I've asked for the more XC orientated set.
Sheepsteeth
I'll let you know as soon as it's built, off to go and buy a set of 1/4" sockets this morning to fit my torque wrench (this build is gonna cost as much in tools as bike bits ).It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
