My new 50% off XC hardtail build

Right, after winning the XT groupset last week it's taken me until now to convince my missus that:
    1. I need another bike. 2. An XC hardtail and a full suss AM / Trail bike aren't the same. 3. My 10 year old Giant Terrago hardtail isn't worth upgrading (or getting rid of :D ) 4. Interest free / buy now pay later is the way to go.
I've ordered my frame today from CRC.

Kinesis Maxlight XC Pro II in white,

I love the way the carbon seat stays contrast with the frame. Cheers Sheepsteeth for suggesting it (red was £60 cheaper in my size but wasn't what I wanted, or possibly anybody else judging from the reduction).
Going to go with Reba Race Dual Air forks (in black to contrast with the frame).
Other bits on the list are:
Fizik Gobi saddle (in black) which I've ordered. Easton EC70 Monkey Light XC carbon bars. Easton EA70 stem (70mm?) Easton EA70 seatpost. No idea what tyres I'm going for but going to take the plunge and go tubless. Ditto headset, grips etc.
Going to buy the rest from my LBS, cheaper on CRC but difficult to get help with facing the bottom bracket etc. Hopefully the frame will be here Thursday or Friday provided CRC get the finance thing sorted quickly (still got to send off a signed piece of paper even though all the finance deal is sorted and approved automatically on line :( ). Any thoughts or comments would be useful before I finalise the build later this week.

Had to invoke the sig ▼▼▼ a bit, oh well it'll heal.

I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

^^ Haven't worked it out yet, I'll have to take the kitchen scales into the garage and weigh each part as I assemble it.

Should have it done in a couple of weeks, just try and stop me posting the pics 8)

i'll put money on the fact it is gonna look ace, the black rear end then white main triangle followed by the black forks, will look spot on. am interested to hear how it will ride, i think if i was to go for another hardtail, carbon rear stays would be the way to go.

as for tyres, tubeless is very good, but make sure you use tubeless tyres (as im sure you will with those lovely new xt wheels), maxxis do ignitors in a 2.1and they weigh in at about 650 grams, very respectable in my opinion.

am looking forward to the pics

    Johneaster

I was lucky enough to get wheels included in the XT groupset prize :D:D:D:D:D

I've asked for the more XC orientated set.

    Sheepsteeth

I'll let you know as soon as it's built, off to go and buy a set of 1/4" sockets this morning to fit my torque wrench (this build is gonna cost as much in tools as bike bits  ).
