My first computer - advice appreciated

I'm thinking of getting a cycling computer to give me a bit of info about my daily commutes, especially since I'm hoping (fingers crossed) to do the London to Brighton BHF ride this year and I could do with a bit of training.

I'm looking at the Polar CS200cad kit, £96 from Wiggle. Here's the link:

It seems to have the right mix of features and price.

Does anyone have one? Can you recommend it? As long as the heart rate strap doesn't get obstructed by my flab it should be a decent choice, shouldn't it? :)
