My first computer - advice appreciated

I'm thinking of getting a cycling computer to give me a bit of info about my daily commutes, especially since I'm hoping (fingers crossed) to do the London to Brighton BHF ride this year and I could do with a bit of training.

I'm looking at the Polar CS200cad kit, £96 from Wiggle. Here's the link:

It seems to have the right mix of features and price.

Does anyone have one? Can you recommend it? As long as the heart rate strap doesn't get obstructed by my flab it should be a decent choice, shouldn't it?

I've gone the polar route before, but I've finally realised it's better to have a dedicated simple cycling computer like a Cateye Astrale 8, which has speed and cadence, and then to have a dedicated HRM.

Oh really... I was hoping to have something that would tell me calories and all that stuff as well.

I've got a CS200cad and I'd recommend it, I've had mine over a year now and I've had no problems with it.

The CS200 is a dedicated bike computer, it just had the added HRM stuff with it, it will tel you heart rate, calories burned ( not a very accurate figure though etc etc

But to be fair, I'd rather spend £200 on something I'm going to love than £20 on something I don't.
