Hello, I need advice on buying a wheelset, which ones better?

Some people find the DT rims a bit on the fragile side for dings etc.

look at merlin custom build options, they should do a xc717 on pro11 for under 250.

Build quality is probably more important when it comes to strength than componants, and Melin's wheel building is second to none.

Get them from merlin, only a little more and they will last forever. I'm now on my third set, none have ever needed to be touched after leaving the box.

the thing is its ACI spokes, does dt swiss comp makes much of a difference? weight/strength wise.

I want to buy from ebay, cos I have paypal vouchers.

that is the merlin ebay store, i'm sure that if you ring them up they'll let you stick on dt spokes and paypal them the money...


The ACI spokes are all right though, i've had them on one set and they held up fine.
