Right i only cycle for pleasure/fitness, not for commuting etc.
I usually ride for 20-25 miles on Central London roads.
Would fitting a set of mudguards make much difference on my 23c wheels??
I used to use the SKS XL set on my hybrid, althought the front was such a pain i did not use it.
These are too big for my new bike so am wondering if it is worth paying for a new set of the road version.

Depends whether you enjoy having a wet backside or not when riding in the rain?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I use 23c tyres and I wouldn't dream of riding without mudguards (except on the back of the barrow ) but I'm an old fashioned tourist so many will tell you to look good and put up with a wet backside.
GeoffOld cyclists never die; they just fit smaller chainrings ... and pedal faster0 -
Entirely up to you. I rode for yeeears without guards and then risked them. Great for winter as wet rides are so more bearable.
If you only ride for 25 miles tho - you wont get that wet ?0
