Lake Windermere
Might be going up to Lake Windermere for a week in May and i'm tempted to stick the bike on the back of the car and take it with me.
Can anyone suggest any places to go up there? Or point me in the direction of good website with a list of good trails?

Apparently, it's illegal to have any bad trails within the National Park.
Seriously, it's all GREAT in Cumbria, I've never yet had a bad experience there. Did Walna Scar Road with Stumpy Jon yesterday and it was tremendous, even if we did have to walk two miles from Seathwaite to the top of the ridge!
The area around Claife Heights is excellent fun and really compact with laods of trails - just hop on the ferry and Claife's right there on the Western shore.
If you'll PM me I'll send you some route maps.0 -
Hi
If you fancy a break from riding then I'm looking for people to join me on my boat.
I want to spend as much time on the water as I can this season. My family and friends can't make it every weekend so I'm looking for like-minded people to make up a crew. Doesn't matter if you haven't got any experience.
This is my own private boat - not a commercial venture and there is no fee, though a contribution towards the boat’s running and maintenance would be expected. This is not a hire or charter - it's a unique opportunity to join the owner on a shared cost basis. Groups of 2 couples or families up to 4 people are welcome. Your group will not be mixed with another group - maximum of 4 plus the skipper on board giving you plenty of room for your own private day / weekend on the water.
There's a 10 kts (12 mph) speed limit on the lake but it's just enough to wakeboard if you're up for it, or we can spend the day taking a relaxed cruise. There's plenty to see.
Please have a look at my website. Other options also include Abersoch and The Solent.

Sorry to cause you offence Dave. I hope others are interested in my post.
I would not willingly want to break the rules of this forum. I've just checked and all appears ok.
